COLUMBUS — James Salinas and his bride, the former Lauren Bordner, both of Hilliard, left on a Western Caribbean cruise following their 2 p.m. May 23 wedding at St. Andrews Catholic Church, and their reception afterward at Bryce Eck Center, both in Columbus.

The Rev. Michael B. Watson officiated at the ceremony, and the homily was by the Rev. Stephen E. Popovich.

The bride is a daughter of Jeffrey Bordner and Mary and Gary Broughman, all of Columbus, and the groom’s parents are Ballardo and Jennie Salinas of Austintown. The newlyweds live in Hilliard.

The bride’s strapless white satin gown featured a pickup skirt and was enhanced with a canary yellow ribbon at the waistline.

Canary yellow gowns were worn by the bride’s sisters and honor attendants, Maria Broughman and Katie Williams, and the bridesmaids, Carrie Salinas, the groom’s sister; and Kristina Artz and Sofia Salinas, his cousins. Flower girl was Madison Hersberger.

David Fecko performed the duties of best man, and groomsmen were Matthew Rinesmith, Rama Raju, Curtis Metz, and the bride’s brother-in-law, Brian Williams. Ring bearer was Giovanni Estrada.

The bride, a service consultant with Benefit Administrators in Powell, graduated from Ohio State University with a degree in communications.

The groom earned a degree in business administration from OSU and is an account executive with Paychex Inc. in Dublin.
