Police: Pittsburgh firefighter stole casino truck

PITTSBURGH (AP) — Pittsburgh police say an off-duty city firefighter has been arrested after stealing a security truck from the Rivers Casino and leading police on a short chase while driving drunk.

Police have not released the suspect’s name, but say he will be face drunken driving and other charges for the incident that began about 2:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Police say a cruiser was damaged during the chase, which ended in a neighborhood near where the firefighter lives.

Nobody was hurt in the chase and the security vehicle has been returned to the casino.
