Mr., Mrs. Lunger and family observe 50th wedding anniversary at dinner

AUSTINTOWN — Mr. and Mrs. Norris Eugene Lunger of Austintown celebrated the 50th anniversary of their wedding on Dec. 5 with a family dinner party at the Olive Garden in Boardman.

The celebration was hosted by their daughters, Mandy (Bob) Walker and Penny Neider, both of Austintown.

The Lungers also have two grandchildren.

Mr. Lunger and the former Carol Larson were united in marriage on Dec. 5, 1959, in Punxsutawney, Pa.

She retired in 2001 as a landscape supervisor for Mill Creek MetroParks, where he now serves as a volunteer.

He retired in 1980 from Youngstown Sheet & Tube Co., where he was a crane operator. He also served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
