Lumpkins' 50th is celebrated at Poland venue

YOUNGSTOWN — Mr. and Mrs. Eddie L. Lumpkin, of 574 Lansdowne Blvd., celebrated the 50th anniversary of their wedding at a private family dinner Saturday at the Springfield Grille in Poland.

Hosting the celebration were the couple’s daughters, Gloria (Lester) Martin of Liberty and Gwendolyn Stubbs of Boardman. The Lumpkins have three grandchildren, Alicia Martin and Stefani and Cameron Stubbs.

Mr. Lumpkin and the former Robbie Gaines were married Dec. 26, 1959, in Albany, Ga.

Both are members of Morning Star Baptist Church. She belongs to the Nurses Guild and choir, and he is a trustee and a member of the male chorus.

Mrs. Lumpkin is a homemaker, and Mr. Lumpkin retired in 2002 from Steel City Milling Co. in Austintown as a warehouseman.
