Campbell falls at Ironton Classic
IRONTON — The Cincinnati Princeton Vikings bolted to a 19-0 lead at the start of the game and never looked back as they beat the Campbell Memorial Red Devils, 84-69, Monday in the opening round of the Ironton Basketball Classic on Monday.
Campbell’s Dwaylon Letlo made a layup with 2:20 left in the half to cut the Princeton lead to 11, but the Red Devils never got any closer the rest of the game.
Darrien Wilkins had 22 points and 13 rebounds while Ohio State signee Jordan Sibert scored 20 points to lead Princeton (3-0).
Jerah’me Williams had 28 points for Campbell (2-2). Nate Hodge and Lester Hughes added 15 each.
Campbell Memorial faces Chesapeake at 5 p.m. today.

Mineral Ridge 55, Jackson-Milton 42
MINERAL RIDGE — Brit Bevilacqua scored 11 of her 21 points in the third quarter when Mineral Ridge turned a 31-19 halftime lead into a 52-33 cushion entering the final eight minutes. Mehan Ben added 10 points for the Rams. Maddie Griffith scored 11 points for Jackson-Milton.
Crestview 56, Leetonia 42
COLUMBIANA — Ashley Harrison scored 24 points and Shanelle Davner added a dozen more for the Rebels (3-4, 0-3). Clarissa Perkins led the Bears (1-6, 1-2) with 14 points and Lauren Ketterman had 13 more.
Western Reserve 48, Lake Center Catholic 29
BERLIN CENTER — Mattie Shahaden had 10 points and five rebounds while Victoria Brown added 10 points and four blocks and Colleen Kennehan nine points with eight assists to lead Western Reserve (6-2). Amanda Troyer had nine points for Lake Center Christian (3-2).
Warren JFK 55, Southington 45
WARREN — Paige Klaric poured in 28 points and Kelsie Massacci 19 with seven rebounds to spark Warren JFK (3-5). Kaitlin Bucci also had seven rebounds for the Eagles. Kaylynn Barco had 18 points and 11 rebounds to lead Southington, Miranda Gallow adding 13 points.
Lowellville 88, Heartland Christian 35
LOWELLVILLE — Taylor Hvisdak fired in 22 points, including three 3-point goals, to lead Lowellville. Maddie Opritza added 16 points, including four 3-point goals, while Kaye Solak contributed 13 points to aid the Rockets. Erin Letarte netted 18 points for Heartland Christian.
Mooney 74, Chaney 29
YOUNGSTOWN — Katrina Larson scored 15 points, Elena Andino-Esparra 13, Vickie Farris 12 and Dominique Zordich 11 to pace Cardinal Mooney (2-4). The Cardinals took a 41-13 lead at the half and proceeded to snap a three-game losing streak, Taylor Carter had 10 points for Chaney (1-5).
Wellsville 61, Toronto 49
TORONTO — Mikyla Tipton scored 17 points and added three steals to lead Wellsville (2-4). Toronto is 0-6.
Salem 68, Niles 23
SALEM — Amy Scullion popped 20 points to lead Salem, which barged out to a 32-10 halftime lead. Chelsea Fuson chipped in with 14 points and Kathrine Stiff nine to bolster the Quakers. Megan McDermott managed seven points for Niles.
