Mr. and Mrs. Pyne mark anniversary by renewing vows, attending luncheon
LIBERTY — Mr. and Mrs. Gene Pyne of Liberty celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary by renewing their nuptial vows during an anniversary Mass celebrated by Bishop George Murry at St. Columba Cathedral in Youngstown earlier this year.
They will attend Mass at St. Columba today, and afterward they will travel to Tara in Clark, Pa., for an anniversary luncheon. When they return home, they will play a tape of their original wedding and will renew their vows as they have for many years.
The former Mary Markovich and Mr. Pyne were united in marriage on Dec. 20, 1969, at St. Columba, where she is a member.
Mr. Pyne was employed 41 years as a draftsman at Westinghouse Electric Corp. in Sharon, Pa., before retiring. He is a member of the 20/9 Amateur Radio Club, the Flying Arrow Association, the AMA Academy Model Aeronautics and a member of the Methodist Church in Sharon. He is also a 32nd Degree Mason. Mrs. Pyne is a homemaker.
