Michael Jackson tribute show coming to Gossip

AUSTINTOWN — Tickets will go on sale at 11 a.m. Saturday for Who’s Bad, the official Michael Jackson tribute band, which will perform in concert Feb. 3 at Club Gossip (formerly The Wedge), in Wedgewood Plaza, at the intersection of Raccoon and New roads.

Tickets are $18 for the 18-and-over show, and will be available at Biketown Harley-Davidson in Austintown and Chili’s in Boardman; they can also be purchased online at surfthevalley.com.

Who’s Bad recreates the music, choreography and showmanship of Jackson. The show spans the late King of Pop’s career, starting with the Jackson 5 and into the “Off the Wall,” “Thriller” and “Invincible” eras.

The six-piece act is led by Joseph Bell.

‘Fine-Tune’ director’s cut to be screened

COLUMBIANA — A director’s re-cut of the film “Fine-Tune” will be screened at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 29 at Main Street Theater, 5 N. Main St.,

Chris Rutushin wrote and directed the 2008 film, which is set in Youngstown and features local actors. He trimmed the film down to 107 minutes so that it flows better. “The scenes I cut didn’t further the story and perhaps at times confused the audience,” said Rutushin.

Tickets are $10. Shine! of Columbiana is co-sponsoring the event and handling reservations. Call (330) 482-2500.
