BOARDMAN — Julie Halaparda and Anthony Lewis, both of Boardman, exchanged wedding vows in a 1:30 p.m. ceremony Oct. 10 at St. Charles Church.

The Rev. Philip Rogers and Deacon Mike Kocjancic presided over the ceremony.

A reception followed at the Byzantine Center at the Grove in Youngstown.

The bride is the daughter of Richard and Jackie Halaparda of Boardman, and the groom is the son of Kimberly Gomez of Boardman.

The bride’s strapless chiffon princess-line gown was fashioned with lace trim and a draped overskirt.

Serving as her maid of honor was Ashlie Daugherty, who wore a wine-colored gown with a champagne sash, as did the bridesmaids, Andrea Albertini and Kaylee Gahagan.

Joseph Wilson performed the duties of best man, and ushers were Adam Tater and Andy Schumaker. Serving as an usher was Jeff Halaparda, the bride’s brother.

Mrs. Lewis is a graduate of Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She is employed as a preschool teacher for Wee Care Day Care Learning Center.

The groom works as a laborer for Lifetime Fenders in Canfield.
