NEW MIDDLETOWN — The Tigers pulled away in the third quarter when they outscored the Blue Devils, 21-6. Brad Ferraro led the Tigers with 11 points while Jimmy Zubick and Tim Norris each scored nine. For the Blue Devils, William Bowyer scored 18 points.

GIRLS

Howland 66, East 36

HOWLAND — Taylor Williams had 18 points and 17 rebounds and Erika Nites 18 points to lead Howland (5-1). Kaylee Redon added 10 points. Brianna Dawson and Bethany Hines had 11 points each for East (3-3), while Chelsea Bennett added 10. Dawson pulled down 13 rebounds and Reshayla Taylor eight.

Hoover 60, Fitch 43

AUSTINTOWN — Alyssa Chovan and Samantha Pavkov each scored 12 points for the first-place Vikings (5-0 overall, 2-0 Federal League). Lindsay Fiala contributed 10 points. For the Falcons (2-4, 0-2), Erica Braxton scored 19 points.

Hubbard 52, Newton Falls 45

HUBBARD — Paige Seech scored 14 points, including three 3-point goals, while Krista Julian and Halen Turner added 11 apiece to spark Hubbard (4-3). Bridgette Click hit 10 points to lead Newton Falls (2-4) while Destiny Prusky and Rachel Ellis turned in nine apiece.

Struthers 58, Campbell 36

STRUTHERS — Katelyn Ardale scored 22 points and Dana Mathews 17, including eight in the final period, as Struthers surged to a decisive win over previously-unbeaten Campbell. Mathews had three 3-point goals. Ashley Baron contributed seven rebounds and six points for the Wildcats (4-2), while Kaitlyn Opritza added six points and five rebounds. Tarshara Uceta had 16 points to lead Campbell (5-1) while Iesha Moses chipped in with eight.

Champion 62, Niles 29

CHAMPION — Paige Loychick collected 13 points, Haley McAllister scored nine points and nine players got into the book to pace Champion (6-1). The Flashes used an 18-point second quarter to open a 39-16 lead at the break. Rachel Sussman scored nine points for Niles.

Liberty 64, Girard 46

GIRARD — Kandace Coward scored 22 points to key Liberty (2-5). Bianca Rozenblad added 13 points and 12 rebounds and Vakelya Merriweather 12 points to aid the Leopards.Katelyne Brainard netted 13, points and Caroline Standohar 10 to lead Girard (2-5). LaBrae 49, Southington 42

LEAVITTSBURG — Danielle Webber scored 21 points and pulled down 13 rebounds for the Vikings (3-2). Ashlee Stubbs, Julie Gibson and Courtney Aldrige each pulled down 12 rebounds. Gibson scored seven points and made four assists. For Southington (3-2), Kaylynn Barco scored 14 points and Kaileigh Kistler 11.

Canton South 62, West Branch 44

BELOIT — Sharon Robinson scored 19 points and pulled down six rebounds for the Wildcats (5-1, 3-1 Northeastern Buckeye Conference). Morgan Murray scored 10. For the Warriors (4-2, 2-2), Michele Sosnick scord 18 points and made eight rebounds. Brandi Snyder scored 13 points.

RAVENNA — Brooke Lamar scored 12 points to lead the Pirates.
