Best bets on TV tonight

“Survivor: Samoa Finale” (8 p.m., CBS): If by now you can’t tell your Galu from a Foa Foa, you’ll want nothing to do with this season’s tropical smackdown. But devoted fans of the venerable reality series are eager to see which lucky castaway survives the brutal Tribal Council and walks away with the million bucks. As always, the crowning of the champ will be followed by the reunion special, in which host Jeff Probst grills everybody on their fiendish ways. Expect Russell to take a lot of heat for brazenly stirring the pot so often this season.

“A Christmas Carol” (8 p.m., AMC): So who’s your favorite all-time Scrooge? George C. Scott takes a turn at playing the grouchy penny-pincher in a 1984 adaptation of “A Christmas Carol.” Just a guess, but we bet his heart goes all mushy by the end.

“Christmas in Washington” (8 p.m., TNT): George Lopez hosts “Christmas in Washington,” the annual musical extravaganza taped at the National Building Museum. Performers include Mary J. Blige, Neil Diamond, Sugarland and Rob Thomas.

“Two Weeks in Hell?” (8 p.m., Discovery): Are you tough enough to handle “Two Weeks in Hell”? It’s a new documentary that offers an inside look at the very brutal training process that military candidates go through to become a Green Beret. The good news? You get to just veg on the couch.
