KURE BEACH, N.C. — Kaylie Ann Heintzelman and James Michael O’Connor, both of Carolina Beach, N.C., exchanged nuptial vows at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 19 during a ceremony on the beach near the Cottages at Kure Beach, followed by a reception at the Cottages at Kure Beach.

The Rev. Penelope Morningstar officiated at the wedding for the daughter of Scott Heintzelman of Newland, N.C., formerly of the Canfield-Youngstown area, and Holly Heintzelman of Boone, N.C., and the son of Daniel O’Connor of Woodbine, Md., and Martha O’Connor of Columbia, Md.

The bride wore a silk sheath gown.

Alex Heintzelman, the bride’s sister and honor attendant, wore a coral gown, as did the bridesmaids, Kelly O’Connor, the groom’s sister; Erin Disanti; Shiva Arooji; Catherine Whittaker; and Lindsey Viens. Flower girls were the bride’s cousins, Charlotte and Joselyn Spencer.

Kevin O’Connor performed the duties of best man for his brother, and groomsmen were Colin Heintzelman, the bride’s brother; Rob Keefe and Ryan Keefe, cousins of the groom; Jonathan Huesdash; Eric Leonard; Matthew Atkinson and Jake Reynolds. Ring bearer was Cayden O’Keefe, a cousin of the groom.

The bride graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, N.C., with a degree in journalism.

The groom earned a degree in management and society from UNC.

After a honeymoon at St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands, the couple live in Carolina Beach.
