YOUNGSTOWN — Nuptial vows were exchanged at 1:30 p.m. Sept. 12 as Sevasti Michael Hadzigeorge, a daughter of Michael and Kaye Hadzigeorge of Warren, and Alex Douglas Gedra, a son of Douglas and Martha Gedra of Ellsworth, were united in marriage by the Rev. Father John Karabatsos at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church.

After a reception at Leo’s Ristorante in Howland the couple left on a wedding trip to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. They live in Lyndhurst.

The bride’s A-line gown was enhanced with pearls and crystals and featured a white lace overlay and a chapel train.

Gowns in various shades of blue were worn by Jessica Mason, the honor attendant, and the bridesmaids, Amy Kale, a sister of the groom; Erin Fekete; Angela Tolone; Emily Barba; and Hope Sherman. Flower girl was the bride’s cousin, Alison Nolen.

Chad Tibbits served as best man, and groomsmen were Brian Kale, the groom’s brother-in-law; John Hadzigeorge, a brother of the bride; Mark Adair; Spencer Tibbits; and Jim Kusiowski. Koumbari were Tom and Jackie Syrianoudis.

The bride graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She is a cardiothoracic ICU registered nurse at the Cleveland Clinic.

The groom, a formulations chemist with Gold Key Processing in Middlefield, earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from YSU.
