Special to The Vindicator YOUNGSTERS GIVE GIFTS: Youngsters from the Rich Center for Autism at Youngstown State University were accompanied by parents as they delivered 50 poinsettia plants for the holidays to residents of Danridge’s Burgundi Manor at 31 Maranatha Drive. The gift giving was part of a Healing Garden Project that began this summer at the center and was financed with a $3,000 grant from the Kennedy Family Foundation. Preston Donatella, a student at the center, is shown as he presented one of the plants, supplied by Chuck’s Greenhouse in Salem, to a resident at the manor. In return for the generous gifts, staff members at the manor gave the children a huge stocking filled with toys.
