Car crashes into guardrail, injuring Lowellville woman

YOUNGSTOWN — A woman lost control of her car and crashed into a guardrail in the northbound lanes of Interstate 680 on Tuesday, police reported.

Cherine J. Maurer, 33, of Lowellville, was not seriously injured in the accident at 6:07 p.m. She was treated at St. Elizabeth Health Center, the hospital said.

3 armed robbers steal cash from store

YOUNGSTOWN — Three armed robbers took an undisclosed amount of cash from a neighborhood store on Elm Street on Tuesday.

Police said the robbers had handguns and wore ninja masks.

The owner told police he was in the office when one of the men came in and demanded money.

Another man robbed the cashier at the front of the store.
