Boardman Rotary aids Salvation Army

YOUNGSTOWN — Members of the Boardman Rotary Club began a new tradition of giving when they met on Dec. 15 at the dining hall of the Salvation Army on Glenwood Avenue. The club, which supports the Salvation Army during the entire year, began the holiday season by donating personal hygiene products to the Salvation Army for distribution to its clientele, who cannot use food stamps for the products. Donated were such items as shampoo, soap, deodorant, female supplies, toothpaste and other hygiene-related products. District 6650 agreed to provide a grant to the club to purchase additional personal hygiene products for distribution to the needy by the Salvation Army.
