POLAND — Renee Shurilla, daughter of James and Catherine Shurilla, 2295 Hamilton Ave., and Ryan Gesacion, son of Nick and Diane Gesacion, 11 Walker Court, were married at 4 p.m. Aug. 15 at the Poland Village Hall Gazebo.
The Honorable James Dunn officiated, and a reception took place at The Embassy in Boardman.
The couple honeymooned in Aruba and are living in Poland.
A strapless white satin gown designed with a ruched bodice was worn by the bride. It featured a beaded empire band and trumpet skirt with a sweep train.
Maid of honor was Katie Courtney, and bridesmaids were Heather Johnston, the bride’s sister; Tasha Gesacion, the groom’s sister-in-law; and Sharon Courtney. They wore sky-blue iridescent tea-length dresses. Flower girls were Jessica Johnston, the bride’s niece, and Sadie Gesacion, the groom’s niece.
Nick Gesacion was best man for his brother, and groomsmen were Steve Rohan and the bride’s brother, Jim Shurilla. Ring bearer was Luke Rohan.
Mrs. Gesacion holds a bachelor’s degree in education from Youngstown State University and is a kindergarten teacher with the Poland Local School District.
Her husband is employed as a laborer with Custom Tarpaulin Products Inc. in Boardman.
