YOUNGSTOWN — Jeff Chahine’s 13 points included three 3-pointers in the Cardinals’ win at the Covelli Centre as part of the Youngstown-Warren Holiday Classic Ryan Gallagher scored 10 points for Mooney (10-0). For the Eagles (1-1), Matt Gurska hit four treys for 12 points.
Warren Harding 69, Cle. East Tech 39
YOUNGSTOWN — Fred Williams scored 14 points to lead a balanced scoring effort for Warren Harding (3-0), which outscored East Tech 40-18 over the second and third quarters to take control at the Covelli Centre. Johnny Long scored 17 points to lead East Tech (2-1).
GIRLS
Struthers 56, Poland 34
POLAND — Struthers senior Dana Mathews scored 21 points to pass 1,000 for her career and lead the Wildcats to the victory. Mathews entered the game needing seven points for the milestone, which she reached in the second quarter. Helen Hird added 18 points and Katelyn Ardale had 10 for Struthers (3-1), which took a 16-8 lead after one quarter. Lauren Tadla had 12 points for Poland (4-1).
Ursuline 44, East 36
YOUNGSTOWN — Courtney Powell had nine points and 11 rebounds for Ursuline (2-2), which outscored East 23-17 in the second half to take control in the Youngstown-Warren Holiday Classic at the Covelli Centre. Kaneesha Tensley added nine points. For East (2-2), Chelsea Bennett had 10 points, nine rebounds and three steals.
Boardman 46, Massillon Perry 34
MASSILLON — Doriyon Glass, Kayleigh Lipke and Darryce Moore each scored 12 points for the Spartans (2-1, 1-0 Federal League). Lipke also had nine of Boardman’s 30 rebounds and made three steals.
Salem 57, Lakeview 30
CORTLAND — Amy Scullion scored 18 points to lead the Quakers (3-0). Andrea Seguin contributed 12 points. For the Bulldogs (0-5), Jordan St. Clair scored 10 points.
Howland 61, Hubbard 24
HOWLAND — With 13 blocked shots, sophomore Taylor Williams set a new record for the Tigers (3-1). Williams had one more block than Anna Cvengros did during a game in the 2004-05 season. Williams also contributed 19 points, 16 rebounds and six steals. Erika Nites scored 18 points and Kayle Redon 10. For the Eagles (3-2), Paige Seech scored seven points.
Champion 46, Conneaut 34
CHAMPION — Paige Loychik scored 21 points, pulled down four rebounds and made four assists and four steals for the Golden Flashes (4-1). Jessica Nicholas contributed 10 points. For Conneaut (5-2), Nichelle Johnson scored 16 points.
Pymatuning Valley 52, Brookfield 37
BROOKFIELD — Brooke Monnolly made four 3-pointers and finished with 14 points to lead Pymatuning Valley (5-1), which outscored Brookfield 25-13 over the second and third quarters. Paige Wallace had 18 points for the Warriors (2-2).

NORTH LIMA — Emily Seman had 12 points and Sam Smith scored 11 with two assists for South Range (3-2), which committed 35 turnovers. Lizzy Ziemski had 15 points for Jefferson (2-3).

BELOIT — Rebekah Zets scored 15 points to lead four Warriors in double figures in the Northeastern Buckeye Conference game. Michele Sosnick had seven points and 12 rebounds for WB (4-0, 2-0), while Brandi Snyder, Katie Sellaroli and Hannah Griffith each had 10 points. Kayla Linhart scored 14 for Carrollton (2-2, 2-1).
