Forum Health extends deadline to evaluate bids, mull reorganization

YOUNGSTOWN — Forum Health today announced that the process of evaluating bids and concurrently preparing a plan of reorganization will require additional time for completion.

"As such, a new deadline for submission has been set for Jan. 11," according to a Forum Health press release

Forum Health said the extension "is solely reflective of the careful approach being taken to review the bids while simultaneously developing a comprehensive plan for reorganization," according to the press release. Forum Health also said that productive discussions are continuing with the leadership of labor unions representing its employees.

Vince Bevacqua, Forum spokesman, said, "As previously stated, the eventual decision by the board will be publicly disclosed and submitted to the Bankruptcy Court for review and approval."
