A summary of recent criminal activity in Hubbard, Liberty and Girard:

HUBBARD

Dec. 4

Theft: A man reported several of his son’s belongings stolen at Hubbard High School, 350 Hall Ave.

Breaking and entering: A man discovered someone had kicked in a door to his deceased father’s residence in the 300 block of Erie Street.

Theft: Items were taken from a car in the 700 block of Jones Street.

Dec. 5

Theft: The Girard Municipal Court issued a warrant charging Jeremy Gray, no information provided, with one felony count.

Criminal damaging: A West Liberty Street woman accused her former boyfriend of smashing her vehicle’s passenger-side door.

Criminal mischief: A woman in the 500 block of Dorchester Drive discovered wires to her Christmas lights had been cut.

Dec. 6

Theft: Someone left a Speedway gas station, 806 W. Liberty St., after stealing a donations container.

Dec. 7

Fraud: A Waugh Drive man found an unauthorized transaction on his ATM card.

LIBERTY

Dec. 4

Drugs: A traffic stop near Gypsy Lane led to citations against 29-year-old Frank Soltis, 312 W. Third St., Niles, on two counts of possession of drug-abuse instruments. He also was wanted on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in court.

Theft: A charge was pending against a Youngstown woman, 41, after two Nintendo games and two food items were taken from Wal-Mart, 200 Goldie Road.

Criminal damaging: A rock was used to destroy a window in the 20 block of Trumbull Court.

Aggravated menacing: A charge was pending against a 49-year-old Youngstown man after a woman at a state Route 193 gas station asked him to extinguish his cigarette as he pumped gasoline. The man threatened to shoot the accuser, though police found no firearm, a report showed.

Auto theft: A 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix was stolen in the 1000 block of Park Circle.

Thefts: In unrelated situations, two vehicles in the 1000 block of Park Circle were entered. Items stolen included a book bag, compact discs and a calculator.

Theft: Two Youngstown females, 15 and 44, were accused in, but not charged with, the theft of a hooded sweat shirt and two jewelry items from Wal-Mart.

Dec. 5

Arrest: Coitsville police handed 45-year-old Rick D. Rayburn, 273 Lora Ave., Youngstown, to Liberty authorities. He was wanted on an outstanding warrant and taken to the Trumbull County Jail.

Theft: Charles D. Fearer, 18, of 597 Stull Ave., Girard, was charged with stealing $33 worth of merchandise from Wal-Mart.

Theft: A 16-year-old Youngstown boy was charged, accused of stealing from Wal-Mart two pellet guns and a component to an MP3 player.

Dec. 6

Arrest: Township police placed a hold on Brian J. Romine, 29, of 2911 Van Wye St. S.E., Warren, as he was to be released from the Mahoning County jail. Romine was wanted on a probation-violation count related to the original charge of violating a protection order.

Criminal damaging: The locks to a washing machine and dryer were damaged at an apartment complex in the 3000 block of Green Acres Drive.

Menacing: A surveillance camera caught two men threatening a Wal-Mart employee and backing him into a corner.

Theft: A woman’s wallet was missing when she returned to a Belmont Avenue store.

Dec. 7

Burglary/damage: To a residence in the 2000 block of Crestwood Boulevard through a rear door. The perpetrator used paint, motor oil and other fluids to cause an estimated $25,000 worth of damage to flooring, carpeting and several walls.

Theft: A man reported solar-landscaping lights, an outdoor reflector and various pieces of mail had been removed from his township property.

Dec. 8

Trespassing: The manager of a township apartment complex served notice to a 48-year-old man that he was not permitted on the property, then told police he had made threats.

GIRARD

Dec. 5

Criminal damaging: A double-pane window was cracked, likely by a BB or pellet, in the 300 block of East Howard Street. Damage was estimated at $300.

Dec. 6

Criminal mischief: While on routine patrol near Elruth Court, police noticed a vehicle with damage to its passenger-side window and a rear tire.

Dec. 7

Domestic violence: John Cabrera, 934 Shannon Road, Girard, was charged after police responded to a situation and said they found him in the basement holding his girlfriend against a wall.

Identity fraud: A Patricia Drive woman called her cable company to restore service and found an outstanding $475 bill in her name to a Struthers address.

Domestic violence: Police charged Jonetta J. Stein of Girard after her husband alleged that during an argument at a U.S. Route 422 restaurant, she pushed him in the chest and slapped his face.

Criminal damaging: Paintballs were fired at a home in the 500 block of East Broadway Avenue, causing an estimated $100 worth of damage.

Burglary: Took place in the 1100 block of North Ward Avenue. Stolen were a Nintendo Wii game system and related accessories, for a $560 loss.

Dec. 8

Burglary: In the 300 block of East Kline Street, where a DVD player, five bottles of wine, an MP3 player and a checkbook were stolen. The loss came to $251.

Theft: Three students at Girard High School, 31 N. Ward Ave., reported property missing from a locker room.

Dec. 9

Unauthorized use of a vehicle: A Skoplee Drive man told police a female acquaintance took his 2000 Chevrolet Malibu without permission.
