48 compete in Canfield groups’ physique contest


CANFIELD

Local body builders performed well at the sixth annual 2009 Youngstown Cardinal Classic Natural Bodybuilding and Figure Contest. The competition was held at Struthers Middle School and featured 48 competitors.

Canfield businesses Physiques by TNGA and Body Shop Total Fitness and Fezik put on the September program.

Canfield native Jenelle Dunkel took runner-up honors in the Figure Tall and Ms. Fit Body competition.

Kristen Etherly, North Jackson, was first and Nina Barletta, Hubbard, took fourth in the Figure Tall category. Barletta also won in the Ms. Body Fit event and earned her World Natural Bodybuilding and Fitness Professional card. Ashley Grimm, Youngstown, was third in the Figure Tall contest.

Other Valley residents earning placement honors included Bob Allen (Niles), who took third in Men 40 and older and fourth in Men’s Lightweight. Canfield’s David Patrick placed fourth in the Men 40 and older and third in Men’s Bantamweight.

The event was sponsored by Physiques by TNGA, Betras, Harshman, Maruca and Kopp, LLC, Body Shop Total Fitness and Fezik.
