Plan announced to right Disney tickets mix-up

YOUNGSTOWN — A plan to rectify a ticket-promotion mix-up that left some people without tickets to the Disney on Ice show has been announced.

As part of a promotion, the first 300 participants who visited the Main Branch of the Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County on Saturday were provided with a voucher for a free ticket to the Dec. 17 performance of Disney On Ice at Covelli Centre. But due to unexpectedly strong ticket sales for that performance, only single seats were available.

Under the new plan revealed Monday by Feld Entertainment (which handles publicity for Disney on Ice), participants with vouchers for the Dec. 17 performance must present them at the Main Branch at 305 Wick Ave. between noon and 5 p.m. Wednesday.

They will be given new vouchers that they can bring to the Covelli Centre box office to exchange for a ticket to a Disney on Ice performance on either Dec. 18, 19 or 20.
