AUCTIONS
• The staffs of the UPMC Horizon operating room, central sterile supply, anesthesia services and recovery room will host their annual Chinese auction from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday. The event will take place in the UPMC Horizon Greenville Campus cafeteria. Tickets are $1 for three or $5 for 20. Participants will also receive one free ticket for each nonperishable food item donated. All proceeds benefit the Good Shepherd Center, Greenville, and Helping Hands, Stoneboro.
CRAFT SHOWS
• Leetonia PTO will sponsor a Christmas craft show from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Vendors can take their own tables and chairs and rent a spot for $20. Call (330) 427-2788 or (330) 427-6088. In conjunction with the event, Leetonia Band Boosters will have a Breakfast With Santa from 7 to 10 a.m.
NIGHTs AT THE RACES
• St. Patrick School will host a Night at the Races on Saturday at the parish center, North Main Street, Hubbard. Doors open at 6 p.m. and races begin at 7. Admission is $5 at the door and includes free food, beer and soft drinks (you may take your own). There will be a $25 winner’s purse for each race, a Chinese auction and a 50-50 drawing.

• Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore, 480 Youngstown-Poland Road, Struthers, is open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The ReStore carries a wide variety of furniture, including a large selection of couches and many large metal professional office desks; used building materials such as doors, windows, sinks, hardware and plumbing; lighting; home decor items; large and small appliances; electronics; toys; books and much more. All items are sold at low discount prices. ReStore takes donations and sells to the public, all to benefit Habitat for Humanity’s home-building program. • North Star Patchwork Co-op Training Center will have a Christmas sale at Friends House Chapel Church, 192 Haseltine Ave., from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and Dec. 16, 17 and 18. Featured will be handmade wall hangings, dolls, wreaths, pillows, oven mitts, books and more.
• Salvation Army Thrift Store in Austin Center, Mahoning Avenue, Austintown, is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. A variety of men’s, women’s and children’s clothing and bric-a-brac is available at bargain prices.
