Mr., Mrs. Kelly mark 50 years as husband, wife

YOUNGSTOWN — The Fifth Season Banquet Center in Mineral Ridge was the setting at 6 p.m. Dec. 5 for a 50th anniversary celebration honoring Mr. and Mrs. Edward James Kelly, 1535 Himrod Ave.

Invitations for the party were extended by their children, Christine Elder, Edward Kelly Jr. Reedies Banks, Surita Kelly, Idell Kelly, Vincent Kelly and Sandra Day, all of Youngstown; Morris Kelly of Cleveland; and Berphine Thompkins, Louise Butler and Susan Day, all of Akron. Completing the family circle are 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

The former Adelaide Josephine Gutteriz and Mr. Kelly were united in marriage Dec. 2, 1959, in Youngstown. They are members of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Mr. Kelly retired in March of 2000 as a truck driver from Conrail Railways. His wife is a homemaker.
