Chaney High looking for new football coach

Chaney High School is looking for a new varsity football coach.

John Protopapa, who went 3-27 in three years at Chaney, did not reapply for the job following this year's 1-9 season.

No teachers in the Youngstown City School district applied for the position, so the school will seek teachers outside the district, according to Ed Matey, director of athletics and physical development for the district.

Applications are available at the Youngstown Board of Education office at 20 W. Wood Street. For details, call Matey at 330-744-6955. Application deadline is Dec. 18.
