• Canfield Chapter 3104, AARP, members going to Pittsburgh today are asked to park at Canfield Middle School and board the bus at 10:30 a.m. Those going to the luncheon at 1 p.m. Monday at A La Cart Catering in Canfield are asked to carpool. AARP 4611

• Youngstown Chapter 4611, AARP, will meet at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday at Charlie Staples, 372 W. Rayen Ave., for a Christmas luncheon. Members are reminded to take canned goods for a Christmas basket for the needy. There will be a gift exchange, and birthdays will be acknowledged. GM RETIREES

• GM Lordstown Salaried Retirees Club will meet at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Lucianno's on Raccoon Road, Austintown. • Girard Senior Citizens Club will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mark’s Church on Logan Way for the annual Christmas party. Officers for the coming year will be introduced. December birthdays and wedding anniversaries will be celebrated. In another highlight, the senior citizen of the year will be announced. Following dinner, John Gabriele will provide entertainment.

GOLDEN PILLARS

• Golden Pillars will meet at noon Tuesday at St. Mary’s Assumption Social Center, 356 S. Belle Vista Ave. Those attending are asked to take canned goods and monetary donations to give to St. Vincent de Paul Society for the needy. Eleanor Hnat will preside over the meeting. Birthdays and anniversaries will be observed, and cards and bingo will be played. Members are to take their own place settings for a Christmas luncheon.

HOLY NAME

• Junior Seton Circle will have a Christmas luncheon at noon Thursday at A La Cart in Canfield. A program by Kathy Lutz of Lutz Greenhouse will be on Christmas decorations. Hostesses are the Social Committee: Ruth Eich, chairwoman; and committee members Maryann Kane, Judy Rehak, Caroline, Berg, Marion McDermott and Joan McKeown. K-C ETTES

POLICE & FIRE

• The annual Christmas party of the Police & Fire Retirees of Ohio, District 2, Chapter 10 (Mahoning and Columbiana counties) will be at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Brandywine Clubhouse, 3390 Flo-Lor Drive. Members are asked to take a covered casserole dish. Please, no desserts. In lieu of a gift exchange, members are asked to take a new unwrapped child’s toy or outerwear, which will be donated to the Salvation Army. All retirees and DROP participants of the Ohio Police and Fire Disability and Pension Fund living in Mahoning and Trumbull counties, along with spouses or survivors, are welcome.
