Merger ceremony unites Masonic organizations


YOUNGSTOWN — The Masonic Temple on Wick Avenue was the setting on Oct. 27 for a ceremony at which the 120-member Columbiana Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star merged with Miriam Chapter.

The Columbiana Chapter charter was presented and will be placed on display at the Masonic Temple.

Bonnie and Ray Huish, Timothy Johnson, Marlana Pinciaro and Laurie Ramsey. who were initiated by Miriam Chapter on Nov. 10, were voted into membership at the meeting.

Among those participating in the ceremony were Marilyn Guy and Carol Jones, past grand matrons; Kathy Tinker, deputy grand matron of District 2; Sandy Vaughn, deputy grand matron of District 13; Cathy Mauer, grand page of District 13; and Mary McMillan, grand representative to Utah in Ohio.
