GIRARD — Discounted tickets for the Jan. 31 Harlem Globetrotters show at Covelli Centre are available through Junior Achievement of Mahoning Valley for $20, with no convenience fees.
For every ticket that is sold through the Junior Achievement office, the Harlem Globetrotters will contribute $4 to JA Mahoning Valley.
Tickets will be available until Jan. 20 or while supplies last.
Each ticket ordered before Dec. 16 for any child ages 6-14 will be entered into a drawing to win a seat on the Globetrotters bench for pre-game warm-up and introduction. Twenty children will be chosen and winners will be notified Dec. 17.

Doctors Without Borders documentary
BOARDMAN — “Living in Emergency: Stories of Doctors Without Borders, Live with Elizabeth Vargas” is an one-night only event that will be broadcast via satellite from New York University to 450 movie theaters across the country, including Tinseltown in Boardman, at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 14.
Tickets are $12.50 and can be purchased in advance at FathomEvents.com/doctorswithoutborders.
Doctors Without Borders gave a documentary crew unlimited and uncensored access to its field operations in war-torn Congo and post-conflict Liberia.
“Living in Emergency,” the resulting documentary, interweaves the stories of four doctors who are forced to confront the limits of their idealism in the face of overwhelming medical needs.
The documentary has received critical acclaim.
After the screening, Elizabeth Vargas, anchor of ABC News’ “20/20,” will moderate a live town-hall discussion with the doctors featured in the film and journalists, including Sebastian Junger, best-selling author of “The Perfect Storm.”

Candlelight concert
MERCER, Pa. — The Mercer County Historical Society Chamber Players’ annual free Candlelight Christmas Concert will be 7:30 p.m. Dec. 18 at Helen Black Miller Memorial Chapel, 119 S. Pitt St.
The concert will include a variety of seasonal selections, and will end with traditional carols and a candlelit rendition of “Silent Night.”
Admission is free but donations are accepted.
Chorale will perform
ALLIANCE — The Mount Union-Alliance Chorale will have its annual Christmas concert at 3 p.m. today at First Presbyterian Church, Market and Linden streets, downtown.
The Chorale will perform Hallelujah choruses by Handel and Beethoven, traditional carols, contemporary Christmas songs and a humorous rendition of “Twelve Days of Christmas.”
Admission is $5 (free for students).
