AUSTINTOWN — Massillon Jackson used a big second quarter to break open the contest against Fitch. Beth Curwin led Jackson with 10 points. Fitch (1-2, 0-1 Federal League) was paced by Aynassa Hill with 11 points while Erica Braxton added 10.

Struthers 65, Newton Falls 25

STRUTHERS — Dana Mathews and Helen Hird each scored 14 points to lead Struthers (2-0), which took an 18-7 lead after the first quarter. Marissa Hird added 10 points for the Wildcats, while Kaitlyn Opritza grabbed 11 rebounds and Ashley Baron 10. For Newton Falls (2-1), Angela Guliano had seven points.

Girard 47, Lakeview 32

GIRARD — Melissa Weitzman scored 16 points with four assists and three steals to lead Girard (2-2), which ran out to a 16-2 lead after one quarter. Chelsea Gurrieri added 10 points and Katelynne Brainard had nine points and 14 rebounds. Allie Gagne had nine points and 12 rebounds for Lakeview.

LEAVITTSBURG — Julie Gibson scored 16 points, Sharea Elkins had 13 and Brittani Hill added six points and nine rebounds to lead LaBrae (2-1), which outscored Liberty 19-10 in the fourth quarter. Vakeyla Merriweather and Mindy Dykes each had 10 points for Liberty (0-3).

COLUMBIANA — Maggie Householder scored 17 points and Sebring took a 13-6 lead after one quarter to seize control. Katy Butler added 12 points. Erin Letarte scored 10 for Heartland (1-3).

MARLINGTON — Michele Sosnick tossed in 15 points and Katie Sellaroli added 11 as West Branch (2-0) remained unbeaten. The Warriors broke open a close game with a 21-9 advantage in the third quarter. Marlington (0-2) was led by Katie Reed with 15 points.
