ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Manny Harris scored 16 of his 18 points in the second half as Michigan ended a three-game losing streak. DeShawn Sims added 19 points and 10 rebounds for Michigan (4-3), which hadn’t won since an overtime victory over Creighton on Nov. 26. Savalance Townsend scored 17 points for Arkansas-Pine Bluff (0-6), which has lost all but one of its games this year by double digits.

Iowa 80, Prairie View A&M 51

IOWA CITY, Iowa — The Iowa Hawkeyes gave ailing coach Todd Lickliter a dose of good medicine. Lickliter, 54, was hospitalized Saturday and underwent an undisclosed medical procedure at University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics. Lickliter reportedly was doing well following his procedure and will be hospitalized for another day or two. Assistant coach Chad Walthall served as the interim head coach Saturday. Anthony Tucker scored 20 points and the Hawkeyes (3-5) tied a school record with 15 3-pointers. Eric May scored 14 points, Matt Gatens 12 and Deven Bawinkel 11 for Iowa. May also grabbed 11 rebounds.

Minnesota 91, Brown 55

MINNEAPOLIS — Blake Hoffarber scored 13 points and 10 rebounds and Lawrence Westbrook and Damian Johnson each added 12 points as Minnesota snapped its three-game losing streak. After losing to Portland, Texas A&M and Miami by a total of 11 points and falling out of the Top 25, the Gophers (5-3) responded by overwhelming the Bears (4-6) early.

Temple 45, Penn State 42

PHILADELPHIA — Ryan Brooks scored 19 points and made a pair of late free throws to lift Temple. Brooks, who was the only Temple player to score in double figures, shot 8-for-18 from the field and grabbed six rebounds for the Owls (6-2).

Wisconsin 79, Grambling State 46

MADISON, Wis. — Trevon Hughes had 13 of his 20 points in the second half and added seven rebounds and four assists to lead Wisconsin. It was the senior point guard’s second straight strong performance for the Badgers (6-1).

Illinois 84, Boise State 77

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — Demetri McCamey made the most of his foul-limited minutes, scoring 23 points to help Illinois escape. Illinois (6-2) converted all six of its free-throw attempts in the final seconds to seal it.
