BOARDMAN — Police arrested a Youngstown man, charging him in the Oct. 17 burglary of an Arden Boulevard home.
Nicholas Calloway, 30, of Hollywood Avenue, faces one count of burglary although he is a suspect in others both in the township and in other jurisdictions, Sgt. Glenn Riddle said.
During the last month, the township has seen a string of burglaries, some of which were committed during daylight hours.
Calloway was taken to the Mahoning County jail.
While investigating the burglary on Arden where jewelry was reported taken, police lifted a fingerprint from the scene. They sent it to a crime laboratory, and when they got the results Thursday, it returned to Calloway.
He was arrested at home Friday, Riddle said.
The investigation continues, and more arrests are expected, the sergeant said.
The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction Web site shows that Calloway was released from prison in August after serving about a year and a half on a drug-possession charge. He remains on parole.
Mahoning County court records show he also served time on a previous burglary conviction.
Police found about 20 items at Calloway’s home that had been reported stolen both in other township burglaries and from other jurisdictions, Riddle said.
