Student handcuffed
YOUNGSTOWN — A 15-year-old Odyssey School student has been charged with assault and resisting arrest after a scuffle with school officials and police on school grounds on the city’s East Side. According to police, the girl was yelling and using foul language toward school officials Wednesday. When teachers tried to escort the girl from the area, she pushed one school official and continued using foul language.
The girl had to be physically taken to the floor and handcuffed by police and several teachers. One teacher fell into a desk during the struggle, leaving a bump on his head.
The girl was taken to the Mahoning County Juvenile Justice Center.
