WARREN — Three Men and a Maestro, a fun musical foursome starring Brian Gurl and Lenny Ski, comes to Packard Music Hall on Wednesday for a 7:30 p.m. show.
Gurl, a pianist, and Ski, violinist, created their act a decade ago.
Gurl, who began studying classical piano at age 6, plays ragtime, jazz, blues, pop, rock, Broadway, old standards and classical. He has been described as a combination of Liberace, Vladimir Horowitz and Roger Williams.
Ski is a musical phenomenon, capable of playing classical stylings, bluegrass, jazz and pop. He also is a ventriloquist, impersonator, guitarist and stage performer.
The two performers will be joined by Terry Grosskopf on bass and Ken Loomer on drums.
Three Men and a Maestro mixes comedy routines into its show, including Ski’s Jack Benny impersonation and Gurl’s Liberace impersonation. Ski also uses his ventriloquism to bring to life Blunoz, his canine sidekick.
The performance is part of Warren Civic Music Association’s annual series. Tickets are $30 ($7 for youths and students), and can be purchased at the door or in advance by calling (330) 399-4885. Audience members are asked to bring nonperishable foods to the show to donate to Warren Family Mission.
The remaining shows in the WCMA’s current season include: Youngstown native Angelo Babbaro (“The Voice of Sinatra”) with the Carmen Mico Orchestra, Feb. 18; Five by Design, a musical tribute to the golden days of radio, March 22; and “Stayin’ Alive” (The Bee Gees tribute) with ABBA Mania, April 21.
