Mineral Ridge 64, Chaney 53

YOUNGSTOWN — Brit Bevilacqua scored 17 points and Megan Ben scored 14 to lead Ridge, which took a 35-20 halftime lead in the opener for both teams. Abby Riffee added 11 points. For Chaney, Laniece McRae had nine points and 17 rebounds, Taylor Carter had seven points and 10 rebounds and Mylesya Cotton had 10 points.

Poland 36, Lakeview 28

CORTLAND — Lauren Tadla had all six of her points in the third quarter when the Bulldogs (2-0) scored 12 points. In the end, Poland collected 36 rebounds to 23 for Lakeview (0-2). Junior Alisha Nichols had 14 points and nine rebounds Lakeview, while sophomore teammate Jamie Sentner added eight rebounds.

Salem 50, Beaver Local 34

LISBON — Amy Scullion had eight points in the first quarter and nine in the third period as part of a team-high 21 points for Salem (2-0), which led the whole game. Sophomore Allie Bangor had 10 points for Beaver Local, which had 32 rebounds — eight of which were collected by Michela Nicholson and seven of which were peeled off by Jessica Kernich.

LaBrae 55, Windham 44

LEAVITTSBURG — Julie Gibson scored 13 points and Danielle Webber had 12 for LaBrae (1-1), which took a 17-9 lead after the first quarter. Brittani Hill had 10 points and 18 rebounds and Courtney Aldridge had nine points and 10 rebounds. For Windham (1-1), Danielle Hickman scored 13 points and Caitlyn Isler had 11.

West Branch 56, Southeast 15

BELOIT — Katie Sellaroli scored 12 points and Hannah Griffith added 11 to lead a balance Warrior attack in the team’s opener. West Branch outscored Southeast 18-0 in the first quarter. Lauren Mulhollen scored 10 points to lead the Pirates (0-2).
