ACTORS

“The Cripple of Inishmaan.” YSU Theater, Ford Theater, Bliss Hall. Four women and five men will be cast for the show. Scripts are available in the Department of Theater and Dance office. Performances are March 25-April 3. Casting preference will be given to YSU students. (330) 941-3810.

“Inherit the Wind” and “Blithe Spirit.” Youngstown Playhouse, 600 Playhouse Lane, Youngstown. Auditions will be at 7 p.m. Sunday and Dec. 13 at the playhouse. Needed for “Inherit the Wind:” 21 men and six women, age 21 and older; one boy, one girl and extras. Auditioners bring a wallet-size photo and will be asked to read from the script. Performances are March 12-21. Needed for “Blithe Spirit:” two males age 40-60, five females age 25-80. Same requirements plus demonstrate the ability to use a British accent. “Annie.” Carnation City Players, 450 E. Market St., Alliance. Auditions are 1 p.m. Dec. 12 and 13, and callbacks are 6:30 p.m. Dec. 14. Dec. 12 is for age 15 and older. All principal and many chorus roles are available. Auditioners should prepare a brief song to sing (no CDs or a cappella). Please bring sheet music or be prepared to sing something from the show. An accompanist will be provided. There will be no choreography auditions for adults. Girls only, age 6 and up, auditions are Dec. 13. Come prepared and bring sheet music for the accompanist (no singing to CDs or a cappella). Children should wear comfortable clothing for a choreography audition. Please bring a small picture to be attached to your audition form that will not be returned to you. Also looking for a trained, sandy-colored dog to play Sandy. Performances are Feb. 19-March 7. Cedar Point Talent Search. Point Park University, Lawrence Hall, Room 201, Pittsburgh. Open auditions and interviews from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Positions available: singers, dancers, musicians, electric guitars, bass guitars, keyboards and drummer/percussionists, stage managers, sound and light technicians, stage crews, ushers, costume-shop personnel and dressers, Peanuts characters, costumed characters and escorts and karaoke hosts and DJs. Applicants must be 18 by May 1, 2010, to audition. Each audition piece limited to 16-32 bars. Select music that is upbeat and illustrates personality and ability to interact with audience. A CD player and piano will be available, but other instruments and amplifiers will not be provided. Interested applicants should bring a one-page r sum with references to the audition. Reporting dates run from late April to early Sept. MUSICIANS

Cleveland Philharmonic Orchestra. Tri-C Metropolitan Campus Auditorium, downtown Cleveland. Auditions are ongoing for section strings (violin, viola, cello and bass), substitute brass and percussion for the 2009-10 season. Rehearsals are 7:30-10 p.m. Thursdays.
