GM’s Lordstown Cruze called ‘a very hot property’

General Motors unveiled the Lordstown-built Chevrolet Cruze today, calling it an upscale model that’s targeted at younger families.

“We believe we have a very hot property here,” Mike Simcoe, executive director of Chevrolet global design, said at a news conference today at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

It was the first time a car built at GM’s Lordstown complex was shown to the public. Production of cars built for the public is to start sometime between July and September.
