Mooney's Heard, Salem's Kopachy earn Div. 3 honors

Mooney senior RB Braylon Heard was shared Division III player of the year honors on the All-Ohio teams, released Tuesday.

Heard, a West Virginia recruit, was one of four Cardinals on the first team, joining seniors Zach Larson (OL), Mark Brandenstein (LB) and Ray Vinopal (DB).

Salem senior WR Ben Eisel also made first team and coach Mike Kopachy shared coach of the year after taking over an 0-10 team and leading it to the school's first playoff berth.

Poland senior Luke Wollet and Hubbard senior Kurtis Drummond also made the first team.

In Div. IV, Girard junior WR Landon Smith made the first team.
