Spahlinger 65th anniversary is celebrated

LAKE MILTON — Friends and relatives gathered recently at the Lake Milton home of Merrill and Fran Spahlinger to congratulate the couple as they celebrated the 65th anniversary of their wedding.

They were united in marriage on June 30, 1944, while he was on active duty during World War II.

Their family includes their three children, and their spouses, Ron and Barb Spahlinger of Mabank, Texas; Marilyn and Loyd Liber of Newton Falls; and Richard and Rita Spahlinger of Lake Milton. They also have six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
