Pompeo 7th to lead Poland at GlenOak Inv.

CANTON — Anna Pompeo placed seventh with a time of 20:52 to help the Poland High girls cross country team place seventh out of 18 schools at the GlenOak Invitational.

Libby Rogenski (23rd, 21:45), McKinsie Klim (42nd, 22:42), Vivien Clayton (48th, 23:10), and Katie Moon (56th, 23:23) also placed for the Bulldogs.

Solon finished first.

Poland’s Sean Murphy placed 12th out of 148 runners with a time of 17:28 to help the Bulldogs finish 13th out of 22 boys teams.

Louisville placed first.

GOLF

Canfield senior Boo Timko shot a 70 to earn medalist honors at the Cardinal Classic at Mill Creek Golf Course.

Cody Nickson finished second with a 72 to lead Stow to the team title with 311. Howland finished second with 315.
