Police probe shooting in Warren


WARREN — Police are investigating a shooting in the city that has left two people wounded.

According to police, the shooting took place just after 8:30 p.m. today in the Hampshire House Apartments on Fifth Street S.W. Police did not have a condition on the two men but said the gunshot wounds are not life-threatening.

Police did not release names or ages for the two wounded men but said one man ran to a nearby home after being shot and was taken from there to St. Joseph’s Hospital. The second man was taken directly to Trumbull Memorial Hospital.

The men told police they were playing basketball when shots were fired, but they did not see the shooter.
