Pastor Jeff Davis to serve First Federated


NORTH JACKSON – North Jackson’s First Federated Church, 10786 Mahoning Ave., has a new pastor, Jeff Davis. He will serve the interdenominational congregation beginning Tuesday.

Ordained by the United Church of Christ, Pastor Davis has most recently served Bethel United Church of Christ in Beloit.

He received a bachelor’s degree from Capital University and earned a master of divinity degree from Western Theological Seminary in Holland, Mich.

Pastor Davis also interned and studied for a year in Chicago with SCUPE (Seminary Consortium of Urban Pastoral Education). He will celebrate his 20th anniversary of ordination in 2009.

Pastor Davis has been active in various mission works including Habitat for Humanity, the Ulster Project (a cultural exchange which brings teens from Northern Ireland to the U.S.), serving meals at the Alliance neighborhood center and Ohio Conference UCC church camp director.

Pastor Davis and his wife, Heather, live in Alliance and have two children.
