Body found in Ohio marina identified as Toledo woman
OAK HARBOR, Ohio (AP) — The body found bound and weighted down by cement blocks this week in an Ohio marina has been identified as a Toledo woman.
The Ottawa County Sheriff’s office says it was contacted Thursday evening by relatives of 26-year-old Jennifer Snively who recognized tattoos on the body, which had been publicized by investigators.
Detectives met with Snively’s mother and brother, who were shown photographs and made a positive ID.
The sheriff’s office had said two men on Jet Skis found the body Tuesday in an isolated area of Lamberjack’s Marina near Oak Harbor, about 20 miles east of Toledo.
Ottawa County Coroner Dr. Jerome McTague says preliminary autopsy results indicate the woman was dead before her body was dumped in the water. He hasn’t said how she died.
