Students to speak at ABWA meeting


YOUNGSTOWN — Carleen Kalasky and Madeline Kopper, juniors at Cardinal Mooney High School, will be the speakers at the 6 p.m. Sept. 8 meeting of Mill Creek Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association. They will tell of their work with Habitat for Humanity this summer in New Orleans.

Tickets for the style show to be sponsored by area chapters on Sept. 20 at Mr. Anthony’s can be purchased by calling Shirley Pappagallo, (330) 270-9779 in the evening.

The chapter’s Relay for Life team is sponsoring a trip to Seneca Niagara on Sept. 26. The cost is $35. For information or reservations call (330) 799-4507. A Shop for a Cause cancer benefit will be Oct. 17 at Macy’s.

The chapter renewed scholarships for Carol Ann Miller, studying nursing at Youngstown State University; Kelley Stapel, studying psychology at YSU; Brittaney Reed, a pre-med student at Ohio State University; and Tiffiny Rimmell, majoring in chemical engineering at Purdue.
