Cleveland Philharmonic Orchestra. Auditions are ongoing for section strings (violin, viola, cello), substitute brass and percussion for the 2008-09 season. Rehearsals are 7:30-10 Thursdays at the Tri-C’s Metropolitan Campus Auditorium in downtown Cleveland. Audition requirements are one solo piece and one orchestral excerpt of your choice. Seraphim Chorus. Auditions for all parts for the 2009-10 concert season will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Mary, Mother of Hope Parish, 124 N. Beaver, New Castle, Pa., and from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at Boardman United Methodist Church, 6809 Market St. Other days and times are also possible by appointment. They will perform three major concerts. Rehearsals begin from 7 to 9 p.m. Sept. 14 at Boardman United Methodist Church and continue weekly with some extra practices.
