ABWA chapter plans fundraiser

Special to The Vindicator IN CHARGE OF SALE: The Youngstown Charter Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association met Aug. 18 at Rusty’s Restaurant for its monthly meeting. Speaker Beth Stanko talked about the area’s abundance of culture and noted numerous sites to visit. President Cathy Pokrivnak led the meeting, finishing plans for the annual fundraising event. “The Fashion Preview” will take place Sept. 20 at Mr. Anthony’s. Also the Ways & Means Committee was selected. Co-chairs Peg Broadwater, above, left, and Patty Coogan, above, right, will lead the annual nut and candy sale, which will take place this fall and through the holidays.
