Some Struthers streets lose power Monday for culvert project

STRUTHERS — City officials said that at noon Monday electrical power temporarily will be shut off for the purpose of the city’s 5th Street Culvert Project.

Electric will be off beginning at the corner of 5th Street and West Spring Street and all the power south of Spring Street and west of 5th to Youngstown-Poland Road, according to a press release by Edward H. Wildes, safety-service director.

The electric will be off for three hours and will impact St. Nicholas and Struthers Middle schools, Clemente Funeral Home and residents living on the aforementioned streets.

The electric will be turned back on at 3 p.m., Wildes said.
