STAFF REPORT

U.S. Rep. Charlie Wilson will host a telephone town-hall meeting on health care for residents of Ohio’s 6th Congressional District from 6:20 to 7:20 p.m. Thursday.

The district includes all of Columbiana County and a portion of Mahoning County.

“I hosted a telephone town-hall meeting on health care earlier this year, and it was very successful,” said Wilson of St. Clairsville, D-6th. “Many people have called, written and e-mailed asking when I would hold another one.”

Shortly before 6:20 p.m. Thursday, phones in thousands of homes in the district will ring, and everyone who answers will be given the option of participating in the forum. If they want to take part, all they have to do is stay on the line.

If residents want to make sure they are part of the telephone town hall but do not want to wait for a call, they can dial in. The toll-free number is (877) 229-8493. The PIN number for the call is 13016.

During the live meeting, callers will have the chance to tell Wilson how they feel about health-care changes and ask any questions they have about the work Congress has done to date.

“I’m eager to hear from all the residents I represent,” Wilson said. “Last time, we had more than 4,700 people on the call.”
