Dancak-Metcalf engagement announced

BEAVER TOWNSHIP — Mary Monica Anne Dancak and David Joseph Metcalf, both of Beaver Township, are announcing their engagement.

The bride-elect is a daughter of the late Mary and Joseph Dancak, who had lived in Youngstown, and parents of the future groom are Ray and Gloria Metcalf of Boardman.

The couple will be married in an open ceremony Oct. 10 at Immaculate Conception Church, and their evening reception will be by invitation at St. Christine Parish Center, both in Youngstown.

Miss Dancak graduated from Youngstown State University with bachelor’s degrees in criminal justice and political science and a master’s degree in criminal justice. She retired from the State of Ohio as a parole officer and is a licensed social worker with the state. She is a part-time guardian worker at the Help Hotline Crisis Center in Youngstown.

Mr. Metcalf is employed at V&M Star Steel Inc. in Youngstown.
