Northwestern, Pa., woman teacher fired for relationship with girl
OIL CITY, Pa. (AP) — A female teacher has been fired from a northwestern Pennsylvania school for having an inappropriate relationship with a 16-year-old female student.
Police here say Angie Marie Fetty, 34, of Franklin, admitted hugging and kissing the girl and having her sleep over. Fetty had been suspended with pay since the allegation emerged in February, and she was fired by the Oil City Area School Board on Monday night.
Fetty pleaded guilty earlier this month to corruption of minors after authorities dropped charges of endangering the welfare of children and possessing drug paraphernalia.
Fetty is scheduled to be sentenced by a Venango County judge later today.
