Sundays at Stambaugh reveals 2009-10 schedule

YOUNGSTOWN — The third season of Sundays at Stambaugh, a series that pairs entertainment with brunch in Stambaugh Auditorium’s Christman Hall, begins Sept. 20.

Reservations are required for every program; call (330) 747-5175 or go to stambaughonline.com. Catering is by Rosetta Stone. Secure parking is free.

Here is the schedule:

Sept. 30: Opera Western Reserve Presents ... (operatic highlights and a preview of OWR’s production of “Carmen”), featuring soprano Diana Farrell, baritone Max Pivik and other OWR members; lunch at 12:15 p.m., program at 1 p.m.; $25 per person.

Nov. 8: An International Musical Journey (music from Argentina, Brazil, Canada, United Kingdom, Japan and the United States), featuring Francois Fowler on classical guitar and Kathryn Umble, flute; lunch at 12:15 p.m., program at 1 p.m.; $25 per person.

Feb. 14, 2010: Musical Valentines (back by popular request), featuring Nancy Paterson on harp, and Linda Madsen, flute; lunch at 12:15 p.m., program at 1 p.m. $25 per person.

May 9, 2010: Happy Mother’s Day, featuring “Que Sera, Sera — Remembering Doris Day,” a one-woman show by Damaris Peters Pike; brunch in the ballroom at 11:30 a.m., program at 12:45 p.m.; $30 per person. This event is co-sponsored by Stambaugh Pillars and Stambaugh Auditorium.
