Benefit golf outing at Bedford Trails

COITSVILLE — Bedford Trails Golf Course will be the setting on Sept. 5 for the Salty Grogs four-man golf scramble. Proceeds from the event will benefit Ava Timko, daughter of Brad and Lori Timko of Canfield.

The child was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia on Jan. 2, four days before her first birthday, and just finished round five of chemo therapy at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.

The cost for the golf outing is $70 per person or $280 per team and includes lunch, beverages and a steak dinner at Salty Grogs. There will be hole prizes, skins, a putting contest, a 50-50 raffle, a gift raffle, and cash prizes. Hole sponsorships are available for $50.
